Business Presence

Tax ID (FEIN)
A Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN or EIN) is a unique number issued to your legal business entity by the IRS for identification and tax purposes. An EIN is required to open a business bank account, file taxes, and hire employees. It is like a social security number for your business.
Getting an EIN is free. All you have to do is visit the IRS website and complete a fairly simple application. However, we know that starting a business can be stressful and the to-do list keeps growing and growing. That’s why we offer to get your EIN for you for an additional fee.
Beneficial Ownership Information Report
The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) requires almost all businesses to file a Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) report. This filing includes general information about your company and personal information about those in control of (or benefiting financially from) your company.
The report must include the company’s legal name, address, and tax ID. Beneficial owners and company applicants (only in the case of new businesses) must provide their legal name, date of birth, address, and a copy of a non-expired ID (like a driver’s license or passport). This information is not public record.
Filing this report is free. And FinCEN has directions and answers to frequently asked questions about the BOI report on their website. Don’t want to worry about another filing? For $9 we’ll take care of filing your BOI report for you.
Apostille
If you require your official business documentation for purposes outside of the US, your paperwork is required to be officiated by an apostille. An apostille is additional documentation that certifies the authenticity of your paperwork for international purposes. We offer this service at checkout for your convenience.
Certificate of Good Standing
If you are anticipating expanding your business into other states, you will be required to produce a Certificate of Good Standing to register in that state. A Certificate of Good Standing is a state-issued document that certifies that your legal business entity is in good standing and has submitted any necessary annual reports with the NM Secretary of State. If you need this documentation, we can take care of ordering it for you.
Certified Copy
A certified copy is an official copy of a document issued by the state. If you are required to provide official hard copies of your business formation documents for any reason, we can get them from the New Mexico Secretary of State on your behalf.
Corporate Book
Keeping track of your corporation’s important and official documents is a critical part of maintaining your business. We offer a custom corporate record book for your Articles of Incorporation, bylaws, and meeting minutes.
Corporate Seal
A corporate seal is a stamp custom-made for your corporation that you can use to endorse official documents and stock certificates. It is by no means a necessity, but it is a fancy addition to your corporation.
S-Corp
If your corporation meets the IRS requirements, we can help you complete the process to apply for S-corp status. With S-corp status, your corporation will be taxed as a “pass-through” entity (like an LLC). You can keep the same corporate structure, but benefit from tax benefits reserved for S-corps.

Business Address
As the owners of our own commercial building, we have the authority and flexibility to share our business address with our registered agent clients.
At no extra cost, our clients may list our address for their business to protect their personal address. With that, we will receive and digitally forward up to 3 pieces of regular business mail annually for free.
Secure Client Account
Any documents High Desert Corporate Filings LLC receives on your behalf are scanned at our office and then uploaded into your secure client account. You will be sent a notification email with the document as an easy-to-download PDF and instructions on how to view the document in your account.
If we don’t hear from you, we will continue to make attempts to contact you until we are sure you have been notified. When you sign up, we provide you with the option to list additional contacts that we can contact to attempt to reach you, such as your attorney, your spouse, or your CPA.
Annual Report Reminders
In New Mexico, corporations are required to file a biennial report; however, LLCs are not. If we are the registered agent for your corporation, we will send you several reminders to file your report with the New Mexico Secretary of State. Or, hire us to form your New Mexico corporation and sign up for biennial compliance service, and we’ll submit your reports for you.
